When Jillian and her husband, Mark Biven, decided to renovate their 1930’s home, the goal was not only to transform their Loveland Cottage into a dreamy abode but also to inspire others to tackle some of their own DYI projects. Jillian decided to create the Loveland Cottage Reno blog to enable others to follow along, shop some of her design favorites, and even discover lots of money-saving tips and tricks.
Upon following her journey, I discovered that her Loveland Cottage was the same home my husband was born in and spent the first eight years of his life, small world! Although the home has now found new owners, the story is one I thought would be lovely to share throughout our Loveland neighborhood.
The couple purchased the home and moved into it two weeks before their wedding in 2019. Jillian created the Loveland Cottage Reno Instagram page and blog late last year to help keep her busy during quarantine. “Our favorite project was watching the dining room/ kitchen remodel. A least favorite project was removing 10 million carpet staples throughout the house – every sqft was covered with the carpet when we moved in!”
