New Elkhorn School Named

elkohrn.png

Well, they didn’t get too creative with the naming of a new Elkhorn high school dubbed Elkhorn North. The new school will be located at 180th Street and West Maple Road. The school is slated to open in August of 2020, with hopes to break ground by mid-July. Boundaries to define attendance eligibility haven’t been set yet, but the new school is planned to ease crowding at Elkhorn High, which is near capacity.

Omaha Home Valuations

Most homeowners across Omaha have recently seen an increase in their home valuations. Some are slight, and some are quite significant. This sudden, and in some instances, sharp increase has led to a lot of questions from my friends and clients. If you disagree with your valuation, you can and should protest it. If you’re not sure if you have grounds to protest it, reach out to me! I would love to go over comps in your area to help you figure out where you stand. sarah.maier@betteromaha.com

Short-Term Rentals for CWS

With the CWS in town, I’ve gotten some questions from homeowners about short-term rentals like Airbnb or HomeAway. There is certainly a demand for space but it can be scary to open up your home. My two cents -I have plenty of friends who have used these services and been delighted with the outcome. I think it’s a great way to capitalize on your real estate investment, but I understand that it’s not for everyone. Want to talk more about it? 402-830-2879

Jill Dudzinski

After years of running my fashion truck and online shop, I’ve decided to sell my business and close this chapter to focus on new adventures. This wasn’t an easy decision—*hello ruby* has been such a huge part of my life, and I’ll forever cherish the memories, the amazing customers, and the connections I made. 💖

I’ll be focusing on growing *A Local Collective*, curating vendors for Midtown Crossing, and continuing my rebranded podcast, *Behind the Business*. This next chapter is all about supporting small businesses and building community—and I couldn’t be more excited!

Thank you for every ounce of love and support over the years. You made this journey unforgettable. Here’s to big dreams and new adventures ahead!

XO,

Jill ✨
