We’re Up 7%
Yup, home prices are up 7% from last year. In large part, we can attribute this to a pretty significant lack of supply of homes for sale all across the nation. This rings true especially for areas like Omaha in which both existing and new home inventory hasn’t kept up with the demand of buyers.
Boys Town 100th Anniversary
This fantastic picture captures the “first five”. These boys are rumored to be the first five (or among the first) boys at Father Flanagan’s boy’s home. Records weren’t kept in the early days of Boys Town, so it’s not known with complete certainty. Boys Town opened 12/12/17 in a run-down Victorian mansion at 25th and Dodge.

The numbers aren’t cut and dry. People figure that renting eliminates the costs of repairs and taxes, but we must realize that all the expenses the landlord pays are already built into the rent payment, along with a profit margin.
